Job Description:
CNA1

POSITION SUMMARY

To attend class to obtain CNA1 certification in order to provide patient and family care as part of the health care team in accordance with the mission, vision, and policies and procedures of Bay Area Hospital. Once you become a licensed CNA, you will be expected to monitor and adjust to the environment to maintain safety in the environment of care. At the direction of the RN, you may assist to feed the patient and assist in activities of daily living.

Bay Area Hospital will sponsor you to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in a few weeks - with no prior experience, right here in Coos Bay, Oregon. We are sponsoring ten individuals in our CNA Training Program.

We'll pay your tuition for the CNA1 Training Program, including books, scrubs, and shoes. See below the details about the class and commitment that will be made.
  • 4-week training course starts October 18, 2024
  • Classes are held Friday through Tuesday from 8:00 to 4:30
  • Location for training is in Coos Bay
  • Bay Area Hospital will offer you a CNA position upon successful completion of the CNA1 program, passing the exam, and license posted to the Oregon Board of Nursing website.
  • For external candidates, we'll give you a $1,000 bonus after 90 days of successful employment.
  • CNAs are in high demand, and this role can lead to advancement potential to CNA2, RN and beyond.
  • Hurry, class size is limited to ten. You must make a two-year commitment to work a full-time schedule at Bay Area Hospital upon receiving your Oregon CNA license
