Job Description:
Coordinator Cancer Support Services Program

Provides administrative oversight of the distinct programs within the oncology support service group including clinical trials, oncology nurse education and quality oncology performance indicators (QOPI) and the Commission on Cancer accreditation. Assures that the common goals and objectives on behalf of patients and the organization are integrated into practice by the independent practitioners within the team. Monitors standards, performance measures and facilitates the implementation of improvement initiatives as identified by performance data. Also acts as the Clinical Trials Coordinator.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge, skill, and coordination to provide nursing care, symptom management, and guidance to the cancer patient from early diagnosis to survivorship
  • Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge and actions in the care and decision making for designated patient populations and seeks guidance appropriately
  • Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
  • Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and auto insurance
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certification in specialty preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred


EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Oncology Services
