Job Description:
Staffing Specialist

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Administration and Staffing Coordinator, is responsible for the daily preparation, coordination and publishing of employee work schedules, daily time card reconciliation and scheduling system maintenance.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
  • Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
  • Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
  • Solid understanding of union contract language
  • Knowledge of and aptitude for information technology, data analysis and report generation
  • Computer proficiency, including Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of clinical operations
  • High level of critical thinking and analytical skills to support and guide decision making in addition to the ability to execute key responsibilities


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
  • Bachelor's degree or the level of business and technical knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree preferred


EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 years' office environment experience
  • Exposure to working in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Scheduling experience preferred
  • Exposure to union contracts preferred
