Job Description:
Manager Patient Accounts

Provides leadership and management of the daily operations of the Business Office and provides project management to the organization.

  • Communicates effectively with all constituents and keeps director informed of issues.

  • Ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position

  • Leads by example and demonstrates ability to initiate difficult conversations when appropriate

  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
  • Ability to operate applicable office equipment
  • Demonstrates working knowledge in applicable systems, including but not limited to Epic, Experian, OnBase, Excel, Word and Teams

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certification through HFMA or AAHAM preferred

  • Five to seven years prior job related experience in a hospital health care setting
  • Three to five years of recent supervisory experience
  • Experience working with government and non-government payer regulations and general billing practices
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirement related to billing & collections, cash controls, compliance and HIPAA
  • Understanding of legal proceedings as they relate to collections and contracting
  • Previous experience working in a clinically driven revenue cycle environment preferred
  • Previous Epic experience preferred
