Job Description:
Psychiatric Monitor Tech
Provides oversight of central monitor system, in collaboration with charge nurse/manager.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
- Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
- Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public; excellent telephone skills
- Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates effective response to patient crisis/ emergency situations
- Strong priority-setting and organizational skills
- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
- Recognizes and reports abnormal occurrences
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology preferred
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
- Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
